High Interest in Landiolol and Vasopressin at Vienna Cardiology Congress

The first Vienna Congress for Cardiology hosted by the Medical University Vienna was held in mid-October at the historical Hofburg in the city center and focused mainly on clinical topics within the cardiology departments in hospitals in Vienna.

Practical Approach to Clinical and Scientific Topics

The topics of the congress centered around the treatment of the leading symptoms of cardiology and acute cardiology including cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure with a practical approach when discussing these subjects. The aim of the congress was to inform and offer further education to specialists in cardiology and internal medicine; and to provide a platform for exchange to the colleagues within this area of expertise.

The following key topics were discussed and presented during panel discussions, symposia, hands-on guidelines, meet the expert sessions, group discussions, medical device trainings, etc:

  • Main symptoms of cardiology, acute cardiology (in and outside hospitals)
  • Coronary heart disease
  • Heart failure
  • Cardiac arrhythmias
  • Structural heart diseases
  • Primary prevention & comorbidities

AMOMED’s Offerings Sparked Strong Interest

As we have been the only pharmaceutical company with pharmacological therapy innovations in this field including the active ingredients landiolol and vasopressin/argipressin, for a long time, we were able to generate enormous interest at the event. Our team at the congress was able to specify these innovations during several in-depth expert discussions at this 3-day event.

In a clinically critical phase, risk patients often experience a high stress hormone level, which can have a negative impact on the therapy’s success. Landiolol and argipressin allow for a possible significant therapy improvement in this particular context.
